Spin The Wheel

Running the spin wheel campaign

I was just going over the campaign rules one more time before we went live. It’s one of those things you do, just to make sure everything feels right. I wanted this to be something people would actually enjoy, not just another pop-up to ignore.

Setting the terms

Clarity felt more important than anything else. I kept thinking about how I’d feel if I was the one entering my email. The last thing I wanted was for someone to feel tricked into something. So the discounts are real, and the free shipping is for everyone who spins. The grand prize is there, but it’s not the only good thing on the wheel. I figured if someone gets a 10% off coupon, that should still feel like a genuine win.

What you can actually win

I spent a while on the prize list. It had to be a mix of things that made sense for the shop and felt valuable to a customer. A huge discount is exciting, but a smaller one is more useful, more often. It’s not about creating false excitement. It’s about offering a little something that might make someone’s day a bit better. That’s the whole point, really.

The prize breakdown

Most of the wheel is taken up by the smaller, more frequent rewards. The big-ticket item has its own slice, but it’s a smaller one. That just seemed like the honest way to structure it.
